DP/30: James Mangold On ‘The Wolverine’

James Mangold’s most recent film The Wolverine has been out for a few weeks and has been a critical and commercial success.  Taking place after the events of 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, The Wolverine finds the famous Canadian mutant (portrayed once again by Hugh Jackman) traveling to Japan to meet with an old acquaintance but ends up battling Yakuza, his own inner demons, and facing mortality for the first time.  Director James Mangold recently sat down with David Poland to discuss the film in great detail.  The interview is an excellent listen, and I hope you enjoy:
