‘Quadrophenia’ Arrives On Blu-ray

I’ve been wanting to see Franc Roddam’s 1979 film Quadr0phenia, a loose film adaptation of a rock album made by the Who, for quite some time (I missed out on a midnight showing at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in August of last year and I missed out on a midnight showing at the IFC Center not too long ago).  Finally, I now have it on Blu-ray (thanks to the recent Barnes & Noble Criterion 50% off sale).  In celebration, here’s two related videos (one is from the Criterion Collection, highlighting their three reasons to see the film; the other is an excerpt of an interview with Bob Pridden, sound engineer for the Who, as he discusses the new restoration of the film):
