Moore and Moretz talked about bonding off-set and comparisons to Piper Laurie and Sissy Spacek. Moretz said to just be secure with yourself and you’ll be fine.
Peirce talked about focusing on the mother-daughter relationship and how much fake blood was used. A Q&A began after that. Peirce did talk about bullying and how it was represented in the original film as well as the new one. Misher said that the new film harkens back so much to the original story. Moore was surprised by a colleague of hers who also happened to be a teacher at her kids’ school.
Peirce talked about finding what it was that made teenagers do what they do and why. Lastly, a special phone number (207-404-2604) was displayed. If you call it, either Carrie or her mother will pick up. They then thanked us for coming.
